Finance Manager

This leading edge research company requires an innovative Finance Manager to develop and manage its finance and business processes. Reporting to the CEO, this role is pivotal to the success of the company as it provides high level financial support to the executive team and the Board of Directors. If you are wanting a role that will provide you with both development opportunities and considerable responsibility then this role is ideal. Based in the North Eastern Suburbs this opportunity gives you the chance to work close to home in a role that will be both challenging and rewarding.
The main functions of this role include:
- The ongoing development, documentation and implementation of finance and business processes.
- Preparation of financial and expenditure reports for the CEO, Board of Directors, ASIC and the ATO.
- Managing the internal audit and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist with the establishment of any future entities associated with the company.
- Assist in analysing the commercial opportunities for the companies intellectual property.
- Working with the CEO on ad hoc tasks such as the preparation of business plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified and has previously been responsible for a company’s group finance function and the timely delivery of its services and financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders. A background working with a research company will be held in high regard as will experience in implementing and managing commercial contracts with external parties. Strong written and verbal communications skills as well as a professional attitude are a prerequisite for this role.
